TERMS
& CONDITIONS
1.
FLIGHT VOUCHERS.
A flight voucher will entitle the holder to participate
in a hot air balloon flight experience at a date,
to be arranged within 24 months of its purchase. Flight
vouchers are non-refundable and not
redeemable for cash. They are open dated and fully transferable
allowing the holder to
decide the date of their flight and if need be transfer
the flight voucher to another person.
2.
POSTPONING YOUR FLIGHT.
Passengers wishing to postpone their flight must give
at least three working days notice before their
flight is due to take place. If this period of notice
is not provide the flight voucher may be forfeited.
3.
FITNESS TO FLY.
Passengers must satisfy themselves that they are medically
fit to fly in a hot air balloon. If they have
any doubt that there is any medical reason why they
should not fly; they must consult their own
medical adviser beforehand. Airtopia cannot be responsible
for any illness or injury to a passenger
due to pre-existing medical conditions. Passengers
must not fly if they are pregnant or under the
influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
4.
AGE
There is no upper age limit on flying but passengers
need to be agile enough to climb in and out of
the basket and tall enough (1.4m) to see over its
rim. Passengers under the age of sixteen must be
accompanied by a responsible adult.
5.
FLIGHT CANCELATIONS.
Hot air balloon flights are completely dependant upon
the weather. It may be necessary to postpone a
flight at any time due to unsuitable or unsafe flying
conditions. Airtopia reserves the right to change
times and location of the flight in order to allow
the flight to take place. Airtopia cannot accept liability
for any costs or expenses incurred by a passenger
if a flight has to be postponed or the time and/ or
the location of a flight is changed.
6.
CLOTHING
Passengers are advised to wear long trousers and tops
with sleeves, preferably made from natural
fibres and footwear suitable for an outdoor pursuit.
7.
FLIGHT SAFTEY.
Our main consideration is the safety of our passengers
and all others participating in the balloon
flight experience. The briefing given by the Pilot
is important and passengers are requested to comply
with all instructions given before, during and after
the flight. All decisions concerning flight safety
are
the sole responsibility of the Pilot. Pilots may,
at their own desertion, refuse to take a passenger
who
could be a risk to other passengers or the safety
of the flight. Passengers are required to comply with
the Pilots instructions. Smoking is not permitted
during the flight or within a 150' of the balloon
when it
is on the ground.
8.
BALLOONING IS AN EXPERIENCE, NOT A MODE OF TRANSPORT.
It is possible that there will be a time delay between
the balloon landing and the retrieve crew
reaching the landing site. Passengers are therefore
advised not to plan any other activities or
schedule any appointments immediately after the flight.
9.FLIGHT
DURATION.
The duration of the flight is planned to be approximately
one hour. However, if for any reason, a flight
should last less than 40 minutes we will arrange another
flight at a later date and free of charge.
10.
LIABILITY.
Passengers are covered against personal injury by
our insurance cover through leading aviation
underwriters. Airtopia accepts no responsibility for
any loss or damage to personal items howsoever
caused. Passengers are advised to take particular
care of cameras, glasses and other personal items
they may have with them during the flight.
