This was our first flight this year from the famous Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor. We took off at about 20 past 8 on the evening of Monday 13 June and flew over the moors towards Callington. The visibility was really great providing spectacular views of both the north and south coast and features of the moors including Dozmary Pool http://www.earlybritishkingdoms.com/archaeology/dozmary.html and the Cheesewring http://www.cornwall-calling.co.uk/folklore-and-legend/standing.htm.

19/05/2011. We made our first flight this year from our Burrator Resevoir launch site. The resevoir is located near to Yelverton and is surrounded by mixed woodland which sharply contrasts with the open moor and rugged Dartmoor tors.
Taking off at at 19:45 the flight path took us over Sheepstor, Ditsworthy Warren House, Shell Top and the village of Cornwood. We then flew over Harford and Western Beacon before landing near to California Cross at 20:55. Ballooning does not get much better than this!

26/02/11. In the middle of May this year we will be attending the Tiverton Hot Air Balloon Festival. The festival is an exciting new ballooning and aerial extravaganza taking place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of May at Hartnoll Farm, Tiverton, on the site of The Mid Devon Show.

We took off at about 08:00 from the old racecourse at Lower Dean, Buckfastleigh and flew over Rattery and North Huish landing just over an hour later West of the River Avon at Ley Farm near California Cross.

28/08/10. Took off this morning from one of our favourite launch sites, the old football pitch at Heathfield, Cornwood. Flew over Hanger Down and Westen Beacon and landed just before California Cross. Happy Days!
